Sunday, February 5 was a blessed day in Detroit, as His Grace the Most Reverend Allen H. Vigneron, Archbishop of Detroit, visited St. Joseph Oratory to install Reverend Canon Michael Stein as Pastor.

We have been very blessed by the visit of our beloved Bishop, the Most Reverend David L. Ricken, who conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation on 34 of our young faithful at St. Patrick’s Oratory in Green Bay on the Feast of St. Francis de Sales, January 29, 2017. We are profoundly grateful and appreciative to His Excellency for administering the sacrament which has made so many more soldiers for Christ. Likewise, we were extremely honored that His Excellency joined us for the reception and banquet which followed the Liturgy.

On behalf of His Holiness, Pope Francis, the Archbishop of Milwaukee, the Most Reverend Jerome Listecki, conferred upon Abbé George Baird, clerical oblate of the Institute, the papal medal Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice.” This decoration of honor by the Holy See was bestowed upon Abbé George Baird in recognition of his outstanding work as the project manager for the restoration of Saint Stanislaus Church in Milwaukee.
