Ite ad Joseph! At St. Joseph Oratory in Detroit, the annual St. Joseph Day of Prayer began at 7:00 a.m. as faithful gathered in the church for Lauds. The parish, which sees many visitors on a daily basis, became a special place of pilgrimage for over 1,000 souls (on a Monday!) throughout the day in celebration of the feast of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

With filial joy, St. Joseph Oratory hosted His Grace, Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron of Detroit, for the Confirmation of young people on October 22, 2017. Assisting Archbishop Vigneron in the beautiful Pontifical ceremony of Confirmation in the Extraordinary Form were Canon Michael Stein, Pastor; Canon Jonathon Fehrenbacher, Vicar; Abbé Alex Barga, Master of Ceremonies; brothers of St. Thomas Aquinas House; and numerous altar servers of the Oratory.

The feast of Corpus Christi on Thursday, June 15, 2017, marked the first visit to Detroit of Msgr. Gilles Wach, Founder & Prior General of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. A Solemn High Mass was offered by Msgr. Wach, with Canon Michael Stein as deacon and Canon Edward Gardner, a native son of Detroit, as subdeacon.

StJoseph Oratory in Detroit celebrated its patronal feast day on Monday, March 20, the Solemnity of StJoseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with a daylong StJoseph Day of Prayer.  It was a grace-filled occasion not only for clergy and parishioners of the Oratory, but also for visiting clergy, religious, seminarians, and faithful from around the Archdiocese of Detroit and beyond, including pilgrims from other Institute apostolates.
